25 May 2023
0

Anabaseios: The Eleventh Circle is the third encounter of the third and final 8-man, normal raid content released with Patch 6.4 of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. It’s available at level 90 after completing Anabaseios: The Tenth Circle and unlocked by the quest The Emissary’s Judgement It can be completed via the duty finder with a minimum ilvl of 615 and rewards Unsung tokens of Anabaseios for each gear type, which can be turned in to Djole at (x:10.3, y:9.7) in Meghaduta, Radz-at-Han. Mylenie at (x:8.4, y:27.7) in Aporia, Labyrinthos will also exchange Unsung tokens of Anabaseios for gear.

For the sake of your fellow players, please remember that this is new content (at the time of publication). A little friendly explanation can go a long way. Similarly, don’t be afraid to take advice. You may learn something you didn’t know.

Themis

  • Eunomia – Unavoidable, raid-wide damage that also applies a bleed.
  • Divisive Ruling – Themis will project a wide, linear AoE to the front and back of him. Above him will either be a halo of dark energy or light energy. This first one will always be dark. The two different halos indicate:
    • Dark – The previously safe sides of the arena will have the secondary AoE in them. Move into the centerline space after the first linear AoE goes off.
    • Light – The secondary AoE will follow the path of the first, only wider. You should be able to still reach the boss at max melee range while lines up with the side indicators of the hitbox.
  • Divisive Ruling
  • Divisive Ruling
  • Eunomia
  • Dark and Light – Themis will place two puddles of aether on the ground: one light, one dark.
  • Sigils of Discord – Each player will be marked with a light or dark indicator of a color matching the Dark and Light puddles. Stand in the opposite color aether to bring balance to your debuff and avoid being constantly blasted with lasers. Watch out for red AoE circles appearing under players’ feet. Do not leave the aether puddle until after:
  • Emissary’s Will – If you’re in the wrong puddle, or outside either puddle when this goes off, you’re dead dead dead.
  • Dismissal Ruling – Themis will generate a knockback from his point of origin in the center of the arena. Above him, once again, will be the halo of light or dark.
    • Dark – A donut ringing the edge of the floor. Move in or use your knockback nullifier (you may wish to save it for later, though).
    • Light – A point-blank in the center. Stay out!
  • Dike – A separate tank buster on each tank.
  • Dark and Light
  • Sigils of Discord
  • Dismissal Ruling – This will need to be done while staying in your appropriate Dark and Light aether puddle.
  • Emissary’s Will
  • Upheld Ruling – There are two different ways this mechanic can play out, but this first one is always tank buster style with darkness.
    • Tank buster + Dark halo – The tank will have both a tank buster indicator and a large, circular AoE on them. The boss will jump to the tank, where ever they choose to place their AoE circle, then, based on the dark or light halo on Themis, will drop a donut AoE centered on the place where he jumped. Be ready, you may need to move quite a distance, quickly. Don’t be fooled by the way the tether looks, it’s not a proximity tether, so you can stand as close as you need to as long as you’re not catching anyone in your AoE circle.
    • Stack + Light halo – Stack it up, stack it in, then scatter again!
      • Dark – Stay put for the donut.
      • Light – Scatter!
  • Upheld Ruling – This is always the Stack + Light version.
  • Styx – This might be familiar from our old friend Zodiark. Stack together with your party to absorb 5 hits worth of laser goodness.
  • Dark and Light*
  • Sigils of Discord
  • Divisive Ruling – Stay in your dark/light puddle!
  • Dismissal Ruling
  • Emissary’s Will
  • Dike
  • Dineis – All players get a series of two red AoE circles under their feet.
  • Divisive Ruling
  • Upheld Ruling
  • Eunomia
  • Shadowed Messengers – Two clones will appear perpendicular to each other on the edges of the arena. Each of these clones is going to cast Divisive Ruling. One will do the dark variant and the other will do the light. Find the light one to note which linear to avoid, and the dark, to see which safe space to move into after the initial attacks go off.
  • Blinding Light – All players will be marked with traveling, circular AoEs. Spread. This will go off before the next knockback, and you will have time to move to the center, so don’t panic.
  • Dismissal Ruling
  • Styx
  • Dineis
  • Divisive Ruling
  • Upheld Ruling
  • Eunomia
  • *Likely repeats from Dark and Light.

Congratulations, you’ve completed Anabaseios: The Eleventh Circle!
