Anabaseios: The Tenth Circle is the second encounter of the third and final eight-man, normal raid content released with Patch 6.4 of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. It’s available at level 90 after completing Anabaseios: The Ninth Circle and unlocked by the quest Pandæmonium Awakens It can be completed via the duty finder with a minimum ilvl of 615 and rewards Unsung tokens of Anabaseios for each gear type, which can be turned in to Djole at (x:10.3, y:9.7) in Meghaduta, Radz-at-Han. Mylenie at (x:8.4, y:27.7) in Aporia, Labyrinthos will also exchange Unsung tokens of Anabaseios for gear.

For the sake of your fellow players, please remember that this is new content (at the time of publication). A little friendly explanation can go a long way. Similarly, don’t be afraid to take advice. You may learn something you didn’t know.

Pandæmonium

  • Silkspit – Three players will have traveling circles of web at their feet. Standing in the web, which is likely to happen if you’re grouped up because the three webbed players are random, will tether you to the webbed player with a proximity tether. Move away to break the tether. Webbed players will also notice that standing close enough to the poles on the sides of the arena will tether them to the pole as well. This leaves the cardinal directions of the arena open for webbed players to stand in without pole issues. It’s unnecessary, as there’s enough room on the platform for all the spread out if you’re careful, but having webbed players spread to cardinals will likely simplify the need to spread out. If you don’t break the tethers before the puddles resolve, lines of sticky web will spread between the players or poles involved, holding them in place. Getting hit while held by the web also significantly increases damage taken. To break them, a free player must run through them. Note that touching the web will apply a Gravity debuff, which can be detrimental later on the fight.
  • Pandæmonic Pillars – Six pillars will drop semi-randomly around the arena. Six players must jump in or risk any unnoticed pillars exploding for damage and applying a vulnerability stack. This first set of pillars will always generate a point-blank AoE under it after it lands, so be sure to move away. There are two types of pillars:
    • Pillars that shoot out chained anchors from a caged, flesh balloon in a circle around them. These are point-blank AoEs.
    • Pillars that release a winged, haloed, fleshy monster that shoot a ring of lasers around them. These are small donuts that you can remain centered under.
  • Ultima – Raid-wide, unavoidable damage.
  • Pandæmonic Pillars – This one is always the donut pillar.
  • Pandæmonic Meltdown – A linear, stack AoE.
  • Soul Grasp – A shared tank buster that hits four times.
  • Entangling Web – Four, large, web puddles will appear at the corners of the arena, as well as two smaller puddles under the feet of two random players. You may wish to shuffle out of the middle when this starts being cast, but it’s not a big deal if the puddles drop in the center. Sticky web strands will form between any pole hit by web puddles, so keep that in mind when positioning. The webs that drop on the poles at the front of the arena will create bridges to the side platforms, which may be helpful in:
  • Silkspit – There will be four webbed players this time. With the side platforms available, players can spread out even further if they like, though it’s not needed.
  • Pandæmonic Ray – The boss will stretch out its neck and look toward one side of the arena, eventually hitting that half of the floor with a laser shot.
  • Parted Plumes – A circle of energy will form on the center of the platform, making it no-man’s land. Then a series of thin, conal AoEs will project from that center point. The conals will start at two opposite locations and appear in a rotating series around the outside of the center energy circle until the whole floor is covered. These can go clockwise or counter-clockwise. Simply stand on one of the last beams to appear and move into the safe space left by the first beam after it fires.
  • Pandæmonic Meltdown
  • Soul Grasp
  • Entangling Web – This time only three of the corners will have the large circles and six players will have the small ones. Make note of which web bridges are available to the side platforms.
  • Pandæmonic Ray – This *does* reach onto the small, side platforms, so don’t preemptively move across the web bridge just incase.
  • Touchdown – The boss will withdraw and jump to the center of the main platform. Now’s the time to visit the available side platform if you haven’t already.
  • Ultima*
  • Pandæmonic Pillars
  • Pandæmonic Meltdown
  • Harrowing Hell – The boss will do a series of eight strikes to the platform, each doing a fairly small amount of damage, but significant together if unchecked. After the 8 strikes, there’s a full platform knockback from North to South. Be sure to be up very close to the front origin point or you’ll fall to your doom.
  • Parted Plumes
  • Wicked Steps – Two, larger towers will appear with tank buster symbols in them. A tank should stand in each of these.
  • Pandæmonic Pillars
  • Entangling Web
  • Touchdown
  • Silkspit
  • Pandæmonic Ray
  • Parted Plumes
  • Soul Grasp
  • *Likely repeats from Ultima.

Congratulations, you’ve completed Anabaseios: The Tenth Circle!
