It’s time to jump back into Pandaemonium! Abyssos: The Sixth Circle is the second encounter of the second 8-man, normal raid content released with Patch 6.2 of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. It’s available at level 90 after completing Abyssos: The Fifth Circle and unlocked by the quest A Keyward’s Gaol. It can be completed via the duty finder with a minimum ilvl of 585 and rewards Unsung tokens of Abyssos for each gear type, which can be turned in to Djole at (x:10.3, y:9.7) in Meghaduta, Radz-at-Han. Mylenie at (x:8.4, y:27.7) in Aporia, Labyrinthos will also exchange Unsung tokens of Abyssos for gear.

For the sake of your fellow players, please remember that this is new content (at the time of publication). A little friendly explanation can go a long way. Similarly, don’t be afraid to take advice. You may learn something you didn’t know.

Hegemone

As always, purple goo, especially around the outside of an arena, is bad!

  • Aetheric Polyominoid – Avoid the pulsing squares. Note that each quadrant cluster of 4 small squares is linked to a central pole.
  • Choros Ixou – Observe the boss. If she’s holding her hands out to the sides forming 2 energy balls, then 2 conals will shoot left and right. Her hands in front of and behind her mean the conals are going forward and back.
    • You can also just observe the energy balls. If the centers of the balls are black, the conals are left and right. If the center are red, the conals are forward and back.
  • Choros Ixou
  • Hemitheos’s Dark IV – Unavoidable, raid-wide damage.
  • Transmission – Four players will be tethered to the boss with green tethers that will give them a count down timer, then the other four will be tethered as well. Once the timer counts down, players will be frozen in place and shoot a thin conal in whatever direction they’re facing. Make sure to face outside the arena.
  • Synergy – Both tanks (or players with highest hate) will be marked to take tank busters. These do splash damage and apply Bleed debuffs.
  • Aetheric Polyominoid
  • Choros Ixou – This is in conjunction with Aetheric Polyominoid, so make sure you’re positioned to avoid both.
  • Strophe Ixou – Observe where Hegemone’s snake head and tail(…?) are. A thin conal AoE will be aligned with each of those, for a total of 2, and spin in the direction of the spinning arrow indicator.
    • Getting hit by the head/green conal does damage and gives you a little snake buddy like the green tethers from Transmission do, but this one only freezes you in place. Still, you’ll have to keep an eye on that timer, so you can preemptively position yourself to avoid being hit by the conals as they spin.
    • Getting hit by the tail/blue conal does damage and applies a Bleed debuff.
  • Hemitheos’s Dark IV
  • Transmission – All players will be tethered at once, but some will have timers that go off at 10 seconds and some that will go off at 20 seconds.
  • Choros Ixou – This goes of right before Transmission, so if you have a 10 second time, make sure you’re positioned to avoid Choros and ready to whip around and face outward.
  • Dark Ashes – All players will be marked with pink, traveling AoE circles, so spread out. Players with 20 second timers from Transmission will have this at the same time as their timer is going off.
  • Synergy
  • Hemitheos’s Dark IV
  • Aetheric Exchange + Polyominoid Sigma – These 2 spells call down the pulsing square from Aetheric Polyominoid, but the poles of 2 sets will be tethered together with arrow tethers. After a short time, the 4 small squares clustered around the connected poles will swap places. Stand in the safe spaces that will be after the swap. Most of the time for this first one, you can just stand in a spot that looks unsafe.
  • Aetheric Exchange + Polyominoid Sigma – Note that this time 2 of the quadrant clusters are completely filled with danger squares.
  • Hemitheos’s Dark IV
  • Aetheric Exchange + Polyominoid Sigma*
  • Strophe Ixou – This starts moments after the Aetheric Exchange + Polyominoid Sigma above finishes, so make sure you’re positioned to avoid both.
  • Synergy
  • Hemitheos’s Dark IV
  • Transmission – Once again all players will be tethered at once. Players with 10 second timers will have Transmission go off before the next mechanic, and players with 20 second timers will go off after.
  • Aetheric Polyominoid
  • Aetheric Exchange + Polyominoid Sigma
  • Choros Ixou – This goes off with the above Aetheric Exchange + Polyominoid Sigma. Make sure you’re positioned to avoid both.
  • Synergy
  • Hemitheos’s Dark IV
  • Aetheric Exchange + Polyominoid Sigma
  • Dark Ashes
  • *Repeats from Aetheric Exchange + Polyominoid Sigma until defeat.

Congratulations, you’ve completed Abyssos: The Sixth Circle!
