Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Will Release on Two Discs in Early 2024
After a week of teasers on Twitter regarding the follow-up to Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Square Enix has released a full trailer featuring gameplay, cutscenes and even a release window. In a surprise reveal, it was also announced that Rebirth will launch on two discs.
Having fled Midgar at the end of the first game, the journey for the Avalanche crew is taking them outside of the city and into the wilderness of the planet. The trailer shows the party travel to Cosmo Canyon, ride Chocobos, and re-examine events of their past – with an emphasis on the town of Nibelheim and the events that transpired there.
Red XIII, who joined the party late in the first game as a companion, and Yuffie, who had her own playable campaign in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade have also returned and are now a part of the adventuring party. Building on the gameplay system of the first game, the combat has evolved and seems to now feature combo attacks with the different characters.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will release early 2024 exclusively on PlayStation 5.
