In the wake of E3’s absence over the last few years, more and more individual showcases have sprung up during the pandemic. One of which is the Guerilla Collective Showcase that is solely devoted to the Indie games scene. Presented by MIX, the Media Indie Exchange, the two hour broadcast took place earlier today and we summed up the highlights of the show for you down below. Head over to Guerilla Collective’s Twitch channel to catch the full VOD of the show here.

Forgotlings

Forgotlings is developed by Throughline Games, the creators of Forgotten Anne, and sees you in the role of Fig, a posing doll on their adventure to reconnect different tribes in an otherwise dark and unforgiven world. Players will hack and slash through enemies while parkouring through hand-drawn levels on their quest to save their world.

Forgotlings is set to launch early 2024 on PlayStation 4 and 5, XBox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC and can be wishlisted already over on its Steam page.

Evolutis

After its initial showcase back in 2020, Evolutis Duality is back with an official trailer and cast announcement. With voice actor stars like Erika Ishii and Roger Clark, and Bryan Dechart, the game mixes Cyberpunk aesthetics with a 2D fighting game. There is no release date yet, so the wait continues for more information on the title.

Europa

If the trailer made you think of a Studio Ghibli movie or the Ni No Kuni games, you’re not that far of. Europa is heavily inspired by that type of art style with its developers own spin on the adventure genre. Taking place on a terraformed version of Jupiter’s moon lending the game it’s title, players will take control of Zee, an android looking to uncover the mysteries of the moon.

The game is developed by Helder Pinto and published by Future Friends Games who also release Omno and Exo One. Europa is set to release some time later this year though no release date has been confirmed yet.

Three Minutes to Eight

Chaosmonger Studio are back with yet another mind-bending game, Three Minutes to Eight. The trailer for this pixel art side scroller is as cryptic as the game itself and sees players explore ways to cheat death, replay scenarios over and over again in the attempt to change the outcome while uncovering more secrets that lie at the heart of this narrative.

Three Minutes to Eight is set to release on PC, Nintendo Switch, consoles, and mobile devices in Q4 2023.

Bye Sweet Carole

Chris Darril’s latest project has been uncovered: Bye Sweet Carole. Developed by the indie studio Little Sewing Machine and published by Just for Games, the game will launch next year on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.

Bye Sweet Carole is a horror thriller game inspired by animation movies and helmed by Remothered creator Chris Darril. Players will wander through a dark and hand-drawn fairy tale world while trying to fight of monsters and jump scares alike. Master different shapes to shift into to survive and conquer the deadly challenges that will await you.

A Bonnie Odyssey

Sci-fi Scotland is the setting of our last title we want to highlight in this little summary. A Bonnie Odyssey is an open world sci-fi adventure featuring Zoe who wanders through a very different looking Scottish Highland on her search for her missing father. Puzzles, atmospheric storytelling and a colorful, stylistic world can be freely explored by the players.

A Bonnie Odyssey will launch later this year on PC via Steam.
