Review: Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes – Definitive Edition

Not for the first time, I find myself taking on the full version of a title that I have already previewed. Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes – Definitive Edition already let me dip a toe into what the game had to offer, and I rather liked what it had on display. So I immediately

Preview: Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes – Definitive Edition

Match-3 puzzle-based RPGs have been popular ever since Puzzle Quest arrived back in 2007. It seems like a pretty natural formula to fall back on, only slightly impacted by the fact that as a rule, most of them have kind of been absolutely terrible. While the basics of the puzzle gameplay are solid (we have,

Review: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Discovery Tour: Viking Age

Before I begin this review in any sort of proper context, let me just say how I am deeply and personally wounded by the fact that this title is not Educator’s Creed. I thought of that joke when I was first told that this was a thing to be reviewed and I am, in hindsight,

Review: Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – The Siege of Paris

It’s hard to review major DLC for the Assassin’s Creed games. I noted this back when I was reviewing the first piece of major post-launch DLC for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, since on a simple level you have the fundamental problem of taking a very big game and giving you more stuff to do in it.

Review: Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids

The problem of expanding a game in the Assassin’s Creed series, at this point, is that usually the base game is already so fully stuffed with stuff that it’s difficult to really see obvious places to go. Of the criticisms you could offer for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, a lack of content was not one of

Review: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition

If there’s anything to be said about game preservation and the prevalence of digital media, Scott Pilgrim generally tends to be at the top of most people’s minds. Honestly, who could blame them? It dropped in conjunction with the release of the 2010 film, only to be delisted from the PlayStation Store and XBox Live

Review: Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla

The Assassin’s Creed series is, in some ways, kind of odd to review. You don’t need me to tell you that. The series has been going with a frankly astonishing regularity since 2007, and in some ways the games have wound up being a cross-section of the general gaming culture through the years. They’re also

Review: Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos

Here at Gamer Escape, doing the same-old, same-old just isn’t good enough. So we’re switching things up a bit here with a mobile game review! Now I’m personally not the biggest mobile game player out there. That said, I do have a bit of a soft spot for what are commonly known as “gacha games.”

Ubisoft Conference: E3 2013

If EA had a safe showing, then Ubisoft is the kid in the shallow section with arm floaties and a life preserver. Full of CGI trailers and minimal live gameplay showcases, Ubisoft didn’t take many chances in their E3 2013 press event.
