Spoiler warning: This guide contains information from the FFXIV Endwalker Patch 6.4 Main Scenario!!!

The Voidcast Dais is a Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker Main Scenario Quest trial. It’s available at level 90 as part of the quest Abyssal Dark. It can be completed via the duty finder.

For the sake of your fellow players, please remember that this is new content (at the time of this publication). A little friendly explanation can go a long way. Similarly, don’t be afraid to take advice. You may learn something you didn’t know.

Golbez

  • Terrastorm – Golbez will summon a meteor that floats toward a corner of the arena. Don’t be in that corner when it drops.
  • Crescent Blade – A full 180° slash across the half of the arena that Golbez is facing.
  • Arctic Assault – This should be a very familiar mechanic if you recall the Hades fight. There will be a wall of ice to either side of Golbez with spikes pointing in opposite directions. Pick one of the walls and stand to the side with no spikes.
  • Crescent Blade
  • Void Meteor – Both tanks will be targeted for a tank buster. It will hit five times, with four fairly light hits and one hard hit at the end.
  • Lingering Spark – Four random players will have AoE circles appear at their feet, then four more randoms, then a final four more, for a total of three sets of four.
  • Crescent Blade
  • Binding Cold – Arena-wide damage.
  • Azdaja’s Shadow – Azdaja fuses with Golbez’s blade. This does no damage, just indicates mechanics that might be a bit more of a challenge.
  • Black Fang – Fairly hard hitting, arena-wide damage.
  • Azdaja’s Shadow
  • Shadow Crescent (v1) – Azdaja’s power improved upon Golbez’s attack. This attack now does the same thing as Crescent Blade, but adds a pointblank AoE centered on the boss, and five, smaller, traveling AoEs to the combo. Get to the safe half of the arena, away from the boss and dodge. After that, Golbez rushes toward the side of the arena and places a knockback indicator on one player, while summoning up two towers to the east and west that require a random number of players to stand in each of them. If the knockback player stands in the center of the arena and all players stand close to them, they can safely knock back to the towers or the other edges of the arena.
  • Double Meteor – Two proximity AoE markers will appear in two corners of the arena, so move to the opposite side. Simultaneously, one healer will be tethered to Azdaja. The tethered player should do their best to aim Azdaja’s dive safely away from the group while getting away from the falling meteors.
  • Gale Sphere – Starting at a random cardinal direction, Golbez will send out four phantom clones toward all cardinal directions of the arena in a clockwise or counter-clockwise sequence. Each clone will create a line of wind balls with gaps in them. Each ball will fire across the arena when it’s their turn in the sequence, so find the cross-section of the gaps for the first two lines that appeared and stand in that safe space. After the first two go off, move into the cross-section of safety for the last two lines.
  • Void Stardust – AoE arrows will appear on the ground, indicating meteors that will drop in lines in quick succession across the arena. Stand next to one of the initial markers and move into that space after the first meteor hits. You can follow behind the crashing meteors if you need to get back to the boss.
  • Void Meteor*
  • Azdaja’s Shadow
  • Lingering Spark
  • Eventide Fall – Two linear stack AoEs will appear before the Lingering Spark mechanic has quite resolved. Split into separate light parties to soak the damage.
  • Gale Sphere
  • Shadow Crescent (v2) – This combo includes, one after another, Crescent Blade, a pointblank AoE centered on the boss, and a stack mechanic.
  • Binding Cold
  • Azdaja’s Shadow
  • Void Stardust
  • Arctic Assault
  • Terrastorm
  • Shadow Crescent (v1)
  • Double Meteor
  • *Repeats from Void Meteor until defeat.

Congratulations, you’ve completed The Voidcast Dais!
